Prepared To Rise

Part 2 | Prepared to Rise

“…they shall mount up with wings as eagles…”

Isaiah 40:31

Have you ever sat in a doctor’s or dentist’s office waiting long past your appointment?

You start thinking, What is taking so long?

But if you’re waiting for a procedure, you may want them to hurry but you don’t want them to rush.

Why?

Because some things are too important to be rushed.

It’s the same with God.

We are saying, “God, hurry!”

And God may be saying, “Where I’m taking you requires preparation.”

Isaiah gives us an order:

First, you wait.

Then, your strength is renewed.

Then, you rise.

God doesn’t just want to take you higher. He wants you prepared for the altitude.

Everybody wants elevation, promotion and open doors but elevation carries weight.

Sometimes God is strengthening your wings before He changes your altitude.

The wind that fought you may become the wind that teaches you how to rise.

The rejection taught you.

The delay taught you.

The wilderness taught you.

The waiting strengthened you.

So don’t rush God’s preparation.

Sometimes the prayer isn’t, “God, get me out of here.”

Sometimes it is:

“God, finish what You’re doing in me here.”

You waited.

God strengthened you.

Now get ready to rise.

Your waiting season may have been preparing your wings for your rising season.
