YOU DON’T NEED A TITLE TO SERVE IN YOUR FATHER’S HOUSE!
Imagine walking into a store that belongs to your father and saying:
“If nobody gives me a title, I’m not going to work here.”
But wait a minute!
If you know you are the child of the owner, why do you need a title to serve in your father’s house?
That’s how I see ministry.
Somewhere along the way, we have treated the House of God like a place of business and forgotten whose house it is.
Jesus said, “My house shall be called the house of prayer.” Matthew 21:13
Not the house of titles!
Now, I understand that sometimes not having a title makes you feel out of place.
Believe me. I’ve been there.
My Example :
Years ago, I attended a huge conference in Miami. After the conference, I was invited to sit with apostles, pastors, and leaders overseeing large churches at dinner.
I felt so out of place that I went and sat at another table because I had no title.
I never had a problem before, but that day flesh said “You shouldn’t seat at that table, you don’t have a title”
But Thank God, Apostle Eleazar came looking for me and said:
“Oh no. You’re going to be at our table.” He continued “ Is there a man at this table that you are looking to talk to ? 😂”
I laughed so hard and said “ Nope, not many can entertain me, you know!”
And I went with him and his wife.
He is deliverance minister, so he doesn’t take No for an answer lol.
At the table, I remember thinking, “Maybe if I had a title, I would feel more comfortable here.”
So I focused on the people I knew, Apostle and Prophet Ada.
But then I remembered something.
I never cared for titles because I knew who I was.
I actually rejected a title of treasurer in the church before but still did the job for years.
It took few minutes, but I became myself again and enjoyed the conversations and had so much fun.
Look, for years, I had counseled people who wanted to leave their churches because they didn’t have a title.
I always reminded them:
YOU DON’T NEED A TITLE TO SERVE IN THE HOUSE OF YOUR FATHER.
And now I had to remind myself.
Listen!
Sometimes receiving a title before your time can distract you from discovering your true calling.
Preach before they call you a preacher.
Teach before they recognize you as a teacher.
Pray, intercede, and serve even when nobody knows your name.
There is a saying: Do the job before you get the job.
And I say this:
If you are unwilling to do the work without a title, you may not be ready for the responsibility that comes with one.
David served before becoming king.
Elisha served before carrying the prophetic mantle.
And Jesus washed His disciples’ feet.
Service is not beneath your calling. Service is part of your calling.
You are not serving to earn a place in your Father’s House.
You serve because you already belong to Him.
Hear me on this : Without the servanthood mindset, The title will call kill your call.
WHO AM I SPEAKING TO TODAY?
